August 31 & September 3
Sebastian Janikowski kicked three field goals and Travis Minor added 152 yards rushing as No. 2 Florida State opened the season with a 23-14 victory over Texas A&M in the Kickoff Classic... Aaron Brooks teamed with Kevin Coffey for a 61-yard TD pass to lead No. 16 Virginia past No. 25 Auburn 19-0... keyed by a 61-yard TD pass from Jamie Barnette to Torry Holt, NC State scored three times in the second half en route to a 34-31 win over Ohio.

WEEK ONE - September 5
John Scott hit two field goals including the game-winner with just one second left to play as Miami of Ohio overcame a ten-point first half deficit to knock off No. 12 North Carolina 13-10... Blane Morgan ran for two TD's as Air Force beat Wake Forest 41-0... Brian Kopka kicked three FGs and Lynde Washington returned an interception 32 yards for a score to key Maryland past visiting James Madison 23-15... Clemson got four field goals from David Richardson's and rolled past Furman in "Death Valley" 33-0... QB Spencer Romine threw for 190 yards and B.J. Hill ran for 124 yards as Duke defeated Western Carolina 24-10... Joe Hamilton threw for 227 yards and two TD's while also recording an eight-yard rushing TD for Georgia Tech in a 41-31 loss to Boston College.

WEEK TWO - September 10 & 12
Brian Kuklick passed for 256 yards and Jamie Deese totaled a career high 122 yards on eight receptions to lead Wake Forest past Navy 26-14... Duke defeated Northwestern 44-10 as Spencer Romine threw for a career high 303 yards and Richmond Flowers tallied 124 reception yards on seven catches... Virginia Tech handed Clemson a 37-0 loss as QB Aaron Clark ran for two TD's and threw for a third... No. 12 Virginia got 225 yards passing from Aaron Brooks as the Cavaliers recorded their first ACC victory downing Maryland 31-19... NC State took advantage of six Florida State inter-ceptions to hand the Seminoles a 24-7 loss, Jamie Barnette threw for 287 yards, while Torry Holt scored on a 68 yard punt return and a 63 yard pass from Barnette... Charles Wiley scored three TD's as Georgia Tech routed visiting New Mexico State 42-7.

WEEK THREE - September 19
Clemson got 15 second-half points including a 93 yard fumble return for a TD by Antwan Edwards but Virginia's Todd Braverman kicked a 30 yard field goal with 49 seconds giving the 10th-ranked Cavaliers a 20-18 victory, QB Aaron Brooks passed for 310 yards... despite outstanding performances by Torry Holt (11 catches for 255 yards, 2 TDs) and Jamie Barnette (469 yards passing), No. 20 NC State fell short in a 33-30 loss at Baylor, the Wolfpack out-gained the Bears by a 547-to-281 margin... Brian Kopka hit two 43 yard field goals and FB Matt Kalapinski ran 11 times for 80 yards and two TDs but West Virginia, behind Amos Zereoue's 135 yards rushing and two TD's , defeated Maryland 42-20... Laveranues Coles returned a Blue Devil kickoff for a 97 yards and a TD as No. 11 Florida State defeated Duke 62-13, FSU TB Jeff Chaney ran for 88 yards and two TDs on only 10 carries... despite sophomore Tyrell Godwin's 179 kickoff return yards, including a 100 yard kickoff TD return, North Carolina watched Stanford Cardinal Kevin Miller hit a 20 yard field goal to win the game 37-34 with no time left on the clock.

WEEK FOUR - September 26
Wake Forest's Brian Kuklick passed for 251 yards and two TDs and Morgan Kane rushed for 113 yards on a career-high 35 carries as the Deacons defeated Clemson 29-19, Tiger QB Brandon Streeter completed 18 of 32 passes for 319 yards and one TD in the loss... 11th-ranked Virginia shutout Duke 24-0 as Antwoine Womack rushed for 119 yards, including a 48-yard TD run... 10th-ranked Florida State took advantage of five Southern California turnovers en route to a 30-10 victory, the FSU defense limited the 18th-ranked Trojans to eight first downs and 23 yards passing... Brian Kopka made good on three field goals and Lamont Jordan rushed for a career-high 138 yards and two TDs as Maryland claimed a 30-20 win over visiting Temple... Georgia Tech defeated North Carolina 43-21 as Joe Hamilton completed 14 of 24 passes for 303 yards and three TDs, Tech's Dez White caught six passes for 171 yards and a pair of scores.

WEEK FIVE - October 1 & 3
Jamie Barnette's 291 passing yards and Torry Holt's 132 yards receiving keyed NC State to a 38-17 victory over No. 11 Syracuse... Georgia Tech, led by QB Joe Hamilton's 259 yards passing, rolled up 465 yards of total offense in a 41-13 win over visiting Duke... capitalizing on three Clemson fumbles, North Carolina rallied for 14 fourth quarter points and defeated the Tigers 21-14, QB Oscar Davenport passed 234 yards and two TD's... Virginia's Thomas Jones rushed for 203 yards on 23 carries and Antwoine Womack added 142 yards rushing as the 10th-ranked Cavaliers outscored San Jose State 52-14... five field goals by Sebastian Janikowski led No. 9 Florida State past Maryland 24-10... Despite a 30-27 loss in overtime to Appalachian State, Wake Forest WR Desmond Clark totaled a career high 138 yards on 10 receptions.

WEEK SIX - October 10
David Richardson kicked three field goals and Travis Zachery ran for 103 yards as Clemson shutout Maryland 23-0... WR Na Brown caught seven passes for 111 yards and Josh McGee hit two field goals in North Carolina's 29-10 win over Pittsburgh... Joe Hamilton accounted for three TDs on 243 yards of total offense as Georgia Tech defeated No. 23 NC State 47-24... Chris Weinke and Peter Warrick had career-high performances in No. 8 Florida State's 26-14 win over Miami, Weinke threw for 316 yards, two TD's and Warrick caught seven passes for 190 yards... Duke snapped a 21 ACC game losing streak with a 19-16 win over Wake Forest, Sims Lenhardt connected on four field goals, including a game winning 41-yarder with 1:48 left.

WEEK SEVEN - October 17
No. 6 Florida State followed Chris Weinke's lead as he threw for four TD's and 302 yards in a 48-0 victory over visiting Clemson... Jamie Barnette and Torry Holt led NC State past Duke 27-24, Barnette threw for 379 yards and Holt had two TD's and 175 yards receiving on only five catches... No. 25 Georgia Tech rallied from a 21-point deficit to defeat seventh-ranked Virginia 41-38, despite 207 yards rushing by Thomas Jones, Joe Hamilton had 305 yards total offense and three TD's for the Yellow Jackets... Brian Kuklick threw for 225 yards and teamed with Desmond Clark on two TD passes as Wake Forest defeated Maryland 20-10.

WEEK EIGHT - October 24
North Carolina capitalized on five Wake Forest turnovers to defeat the Deacons 38-31, freshman Rufus Brown ran for 155 yards and one TD on 26 carries in the win, while Desmond Clark caught seven passes for 143 yards and one TD for the Deacons ... Duke, led by WR Scottie Montgomery's seven catches for 102 yards, evened their record at 4-4 with a 28-23 victory over Clemson... Thomas Jones ran for 117 yards and two TD's and Antwoine Womack added 109 yards and one score as Virginia posted a 23-13 win over NC State despite 202 yards rushing by Wolpack freshman Ray Robinson ... No. 6 Florida State got a pair of TD passes from the tandem of Chris Weinke and WR Peter Warrick, as the Seminoles defeated 20th-ranked Georgia Tech 34-7.

WEEK NINE - October 31
Bobby Campbell threw for a career-high 316 yards and Scottie Montgomery caught 12 passes for 243 yards and two TDs in Duke's 36-33 overtime loss at Vanderbilt ... Dez White returned a kickoff for 100 yards and a TD and freshman Joe Burns rushed for a career-high 179 yards on 20 carries as Georgia Tech rallied to top Maryland 31-14... N.C. State's Jamie Barnette threw for 374 yards and four TDs, including the game-winner to Torry Holt from nine yards out with 37 seconds left to play, lifting the Wolfpack to a 46-39 victory over Clemson in a game that featured 703 yards and seven TDs passing... Virginia got 142 yards and one TD rushing by Thomas Jones to defeat Wake Forest 38-17, the Deacons passed for 384 yards but were held to four yards rushing in the loss... Florida State QB Chris Weinke threw for 338 yards and two TD's as the FSU defeated North Carolina 39-13

WEEK TEN - November 7
Torry Holt had 12 catches for 179 receiving yards and Ray Robinson added 164 yards rushing and two TDs as NC State defeated visiting Wake Forest 38-27, Brian Kuklick passed for 421 yards and two TDs in the setback... North Carolina rolled up a season-high 222 yards rushing in a 24-13 victory over Maryland, UNC's Na Brown had 197 all-purpose yards and two TD's while the Terps LaMont Jordan ran for 136 yards and had scoring runs of 50 and 49 yards... Travis Minor ran for 130 yards and one TD and Florida State limited visiting Virginia to 96 yards passing in a 45-14 victory, Peter Warrick caught five passes for 123 yards and one TD.

WEEK ELEVEN - November 14
Georgia Tech's Joe Burns scored from one yard out with 60 seconds left to play lifting the 22-ranked Yellow Jackets to a 24-21 win over Clemson In the first ever Thursday night game to be played in "Death Valley"... Marcus Outzen passed for 164 yards and one TD in his first collegiate start as Florida State clinched at least a share of the ACC title with a 24-7 win over Wake Forest, FSU's Mario Edwards tied an ACC record with four interceptions... Thomas Jones rushed for 180 yards and one TD and Aaron Brooks threw for 281 yards as 21st-ranked Virginia defeated UNC 30-13... Maryand tied an ACC record with seven interceptions in a 42-25 victory over Duke.

WEEK TWELVE - November 21
Charlie Rogers scored two TDs, including a 63-yard punt return as Georgia Tech clinched a tie for the ACC Title defeating Wake Forest 63-35... No. 4 Florida watched as No. 5 Florida State scored two TD's and a field goal in the second half for the 23-12 victory... Travis Minor rushed for 138 yards... Brandon Streeter threw for 173 yards and two TDs and an alert Clemson secondary came up with three interceptions as the Tigers ended their season with a 28-19 victory over outh Carolina... Jamie Barnette threw for 241 yards and two TDs as NC State rallied in the second half to knock off Maryland 35-21... Oscar Davenport teamed with Na Brown for two TD passes as North Carolina defeated Duke 28-6.

WEEK THIRTEEN - November 28
Aaron Brooks threw for three second-half TDs as 16th-ranked Virginia rallied from a 29-7 halftime deficit to post a 36-32 victory over No. 20 Virginia Tech... in posting the greatest comeback in school history, the Cavaliers were led by Brooks' and Terrence Wilkins' seven receptions for 141 yards... Georgia Tech's Brad Chambers split the uprights with a 35-yard field goal with two seconds left to play to lift the 17th-ranked Yellow Jackets to a come-from-behind 21-19 victory over No. 12 Georgia, Chambers kicked two FGs in the fourth quarter as Tech overcame a 19-7 Bulldog lead... QB Oscar Davenport connected with Na Brown on a 14-yard TD pass in overtime as North Carolina defeated NC State 37-34 before 68,797 in Charlotte's Ericsson Stadium - the largest crowd to watch a college football game in the state of North Carolina, Torry Holt had nine catches for 180 yards and one TD as the Wolfpack rallied from a 31-10 fourth quarter deficit to force overtime.
