HOT SPRINGS, Va. - Atlantic Coast Conference media met at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va. beginning Sunday, July 23 to meet with conference coaches and players leading up to the 2000 college football campaign.

In a poll released on July 24, Maryland was chosen to finish sixth in the ACC in 2000. Here is a look at the ACC media poll, with defending national champion Florida State receiving unanimous selection to repeat as league champs with 74 first place votes. Second-place votes are in parentheses:
