Florida State Tabbed By Media To Finish First In ACC Football

By Brett Sowell HOT SPRINGS, Va. - Florida State was picked to win the ACC football championship by media attending the conference's annual Football Kickoff on Monday afternoon. The Seminoles were a unanimous pick receiving all 74 first place votes and a total of 666 points. Clemson was picked second with 581 points. Virginia followed Clemson with 466 points, while Georgia Tech was tabbed to finish fourth with 414 points. North Carolina received 395 points to finish fifth in the voting, while Maryland was sixth with 326 points. N.C. State, under first-year coach Chuck Amato, had 239 points and finished seventh. Wake Forest, with 133 points, was picked eighth and Duke was ninth with 101 points.
