Kaleo Shines In Arena League
July 7, 2000 Former Maryland quarterback John Kaleo is enjoying an impressive season in his seventh year in the Arena Football League. The former Terrapin star is featured in this week's Tampa Bay Storm media game notes as they prepare for their final regular season game, with the Milwaukee Mustangs.

The team was off to
their worst start in franchise history at 0-3, then the Storm got a spark
from AFL-journeyman John Kaleo who was now with his seventh different team
in seven seasons. Kaleo has led the team to a 6-2 record over the last eight
games, which include wins over Orlando and Nashville and two 70-point
contests. With Kaleo came his former teammate James Bowden who broke the
team-record for all-purpose yards in his first home game and then shattered
it by 60 yards in his second.
