Pro Football Timing Day
March 6, 2003
Nearly every NFL team was represented today at Carolina's annual pro football timing day. Among those working out at the Eddie Smith Indoor Facility were NFL hopefuls Sam Aiken, Zach Hilton, Malcolm Stewart, Kevin Knight, Eric Davis, Sean Williams, Chesley Borders, DeFonte Coleman, Bosley Allen, Kory Bailey, Anthony Saunders and Anthony Perkins. "It's pretty nerve-racking," said Hilton, who, along with Aiken, recently returned from workouts at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. "There are a lot of eyes on you, and everything you do is important. You want to do your best in this high pressure situation - you don't get a lot of chances. You've got to be on top of your game." Hilton was allowed some one-on-one time with former Tar Heel coach Tim Brewster, currently the tight ends coach for the San Diego Chargers. "He's a fine kid," Brewster said of Hilton. "He's done a great job here at Carolina, and he exemplifies a lot of the good things that college football is all about. Today he had a great workout...I think he has a chance to be a player in the National Football League." Check out the photos below to get an inside look at the players' workouts.
