TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Did you know that with Alexander Johnson's selection in the 2006 NBA Draft on June 28, Florida State and Duke are the only two teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference that have had at least one player selected in each of the last three NBA Drafts?

In the last thee seasons, a trio of Seminoles - Johnson, Tim Pickett in 2004 and Von Wafer in 2005 - have heard their names called in the NBA Draft. Only the Blue Devils with five NBA draft choices in the last three years join the Seminoles as ACC teams with at least one selection in each of the last three seasons.

Johnson was selected with the 45th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Indianapolis Pacers. His draft rights were traded by the Pacers to the Portland Trailblazers for two future second round picks and then to the Memphis Grizzlies for a future second round selection.

Johnson joined former Seminoles Tim Pickett (44th overall pick by New Orleans in 2004) and Von Wafer (39th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers) as recent Leonard Hamilton-recruited Seminoles in the NBA Draft.
