TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - ...The Los Angeles Lakers select Von Wafer of Florida State University. Wafer became the second Seminole in as many years to hear his name called on draft night and only the 12th player in school history to be selected in the first or second round of the NBA Draft. Wafer was the ninth pick of the second round and one of nine ACC players to realize his life-long dream of being selected to play in the NBA.
