PHOENIX--Phoenix Suns forward and former NC State star Tom Gugliotta is recuperating from wrist surgery.

Bryan Colangelo, the Suns' president and general manager, said Tuesday that last week's operation repaired a ligament in Gugliotta's left wrist.

"He was continuing to experience some pain," Colangelo told the Arizona Republic. "We decided to take care of it now."

Colangelo said Gugliotta probably will be able to begin shooting practice in four to five weeks and is expected to recover in time for training camp in October.

Gugliotta injured the wrist last season, but continued to play.
