ACC Announces Future Sites & Dates for Men's & Women's Basketball & Baseball Tournaments

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Atlantic Coast Conference concluded its annual spring meetings today in Amelia Island, Fla., as Commissioner John D. Swofford announced the future dates and sites for the ACC Men's and Women's Basketball and Baseball Tournaments.
The Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. will host the 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 ACC Men's Basketball Tournaments, while the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. was selected as the site for the 2012 Tournament. From 2013 - 2015, the league has the option to move the tournament to a different site and if optioned out, the Greensboro Coliseum would then be granted the 2016 Tournament. Prior to this year's meeting, the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament sites had already been established through the 2010 season.
Future dates and sites for the ACC Men's Basketball Tournament are as follows:
2007 - Tampa, Fla.
The Women's Basketball Tournament which has been played in Greensboro, N.C. since 2000 has extended its contract with the Greensboro Coliseum through the 2015 season. The previous tournament contract had the women's championship playing in Greensboro through 2009. In addition, the women's tournament also has a one-year option to move the tournament anytime during the 2010 - 2015 seasons. If that option is used, then the Greensboro Coliseum would host the tournament in 2016.

2007 - 2015 - Greensboro, N.C.
The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, in Jacksonville, Fla., which are preparing for next week's ACC Baseball Tournament, will be the future host for the tournament in 2007 and 2008. The Baseball Tournament will then head north to Boston, Mass. and Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox, in 2010.
