DUKE
Freshman G J.J. Redick
"When we got in the huddle, we said we were going to win, no matter how far we got down by. NC State is a great team, and they should be in the NCAA Tournament. When they get there, look for them to make a run. They are a great basketball team. This is an unbelievable feeling and I am glad to be part of the tradition."
On decision to go to Duke:
"Growing up I loved ACC basketball. I watched it every year, and it has been my dream to play for Duke. This is a dream come true."
On Duke huddle:
"The Duke huddle was like this -- coach talked and we listened. He told us to maintain the belief and that we were going to win the game."
On comeback:
"We put our heart and soul into this game. A lot of it had to do with Coach K. He told us to remain calm and to concentrate on transition and penetrating. The good opportunities came and we took advantage of them."
Sophomore G Daniel Ewing
"We showed lots of heart and lots of courage in our comeback. That's kind of the way things have gone this season. Hopefully we can take this and turn it into success in the NCAA Tournament."
On being named MVP:
"This is great, better than last year's for me because I was more of a part of it. Winning the award is great, but but I couldn't have done it without my teammates. A lot of guys picked it up for us today. I'm proud for myself and my team."
On pressure on him and Redick:
"We both came from great high school programs. J.J. was a big-time player, and we knew we were capable of having big games and helping this program. That is the way we tried to play this season."
Junior G Chris Duhon
On comeback:
"Everbody stepped up and made some big plays. Down 15, everybody came up big. This was a real team victory. With the year we've had, this is really special. Winning the tournament was one of our goals; this is a wonderful thing."
Senior C Casey Sanders
On winning four ACC Tournaments in four years:
"This moment really was four years in the making, and we're not done yet."
On comeback:
"It was our defensive stops in the second half that made the difference. We took care of it one defensive stop at a time."
NC STATE
Sophomore G/F Julius Hodge
"This is a hard loss for us right now, but we're going to turn it into something positive as we head into postseason play."
On the play of Josh Powell:
"Josh was posting up hard down low. We just wanted to throw him the ball and let him make plays. He really played his tail off this afternoon and throughout the entire tournament -- emotionally, defensively, offensively. This is the best that I've seen him play."
On playing with foul trouble:
I had to sit out a couple of minutes with foul trouble and I tried to keep in the game on the bench. When I got back in there, I didn't want to get my fifth foul, but I was playing aggressively. That's no excuse (fould trouble). We were still out there and we were still playing. Duke just made some great shots."
On the play of Duke's J.J. Redick:
"He's just a great shooter. He gets a lot of lift in his legs on three-point shots and knocks 'em in."
Sophomore F/C Josh Powell
On Duke's comeback:
"We always knew that a run was going to happen. The coaching staff told us that a run was coming and just to stay focused."
