Duke and Clemson met once during the regular season, with the Blue Devils winning 93-80 at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Jan. 19. DeMarcus Nelson's 24 points led Duke, which defeated the Tigers for the 22nd consecutive time. Freshman Kyle Singler added 17 points for the Blue Devils, and K.C. Rivers scored 16 points to lead Clemson ... The Tigers' last win in the series came in January of 1997, when they defeated the Blue Devils in overtime at Littlejohn Coliseum .... Duke, seeking its 17th ACC Tournament title, is in the semifinals for the 38th time overall and for the 10th time in the last 11 years ... The Blue Devils won prior ACC Tournaments in Charlotte in 1992, 1999, 2000 and 2002 .... Clemson is in the tournament semifinals for the first time since 1998, when the Tigers suffered a 66-64 loss to Duke on a buzzer shot by the Blue Devils' William Avery ... Clemson last faced the Blue Devils in ACC Tournament play in 2000, with Duke posting a 94-63 win in the opening round ... A win today would put the Tigers in the championship game for the second time in school history and the first time since they suffered a 77-66 loss to Wake Forest in 1962.
