Fourth Time
For the fourth time in league history and first time since 1963, the ACC Tournament semifinals will be comprised of the conference's four North Carolina schools.

Tourney W-Ls
North Carolina is the winningest team in ACC Tournament play with a 75-33 mark (.694) ... Duke is second at 70-36 (.581), NC State is third (.581) and Wake Forest fourth at 39-45 (.464).

One Win
North Carolina has won at least one ACC Tournament game a league-high 35 times ... Duke is second with 33, followed by NC State with 27 and Wake Forest with 25.

Semifinals
North Carolina is 27-10 in ACC Tournament semifinal play ... Duke is 23-10, NC State 15-12 and Wake Forest 10-15.

Greensboro
North Carolina is 31-10 in ACC Tournament play all-time in Greensboro ... Duke is 23-14, NC State 17-16 and Wake Forest 14-16.

Seed Results
The No. 1 seed is 17-9 versus the No. 4 seed in ACC semifinal play and the No. 3 seed is 2-1 against the No. 7 seed in semifinal play.

Margin of Victory
The average margin of victory in the first five games of the 2003 ACC Tournament has been 8.8 points per game as compared to a 15.4 margin of victory a year ago.

Wake-State
NC State is 6-3 versus Wake Forest in ACC Tournament play ... the Wolfpack leads the all-time series 122-92 ... the Deacons have won the last eight meetings between the two schools -- the longest such streak by either school in the 92-year history of the series.

UNC-Duke
This is the 19th meeting between the two teams in the ACC Tournament, but the first time they have played one another in the tournament for three straight years ... Duke is 10-8 vs. North Carolina in ACC Tournament play ... UNC leads the all-time series 123-91.

No Three In A Row
With Friday's 84-72 victory over Maryland, North Carolina avoided its first-ever three-game losing strak in the ACC Tournament ... No other current ACC school has lost fewer than five in a row at some point in the first 49 tournaments.

13 In A Row
Duke's victory over UVa extended the Blue Devils' ACC Tournament win streak to 13 in a row.

Coaching Titles
Duke Mike Krzyzewski has won seven ACC titles while Wake's Skip Prosser captured the MAAC league title in 1994 while at Loyola (Md.) and the Atlantic-10 crownb in 1998 while at Xavier.

Deac Notes
Wake Forest has been the top seed in the ACC Tournament on two other occasions, in 1962 and 1995. The Deacons won the title in both of those years .. Wake Forest is the only one of the four semifinal teams not residing in Greensboro during the tournament.

Deja Vu
NC State was seeded fourth in the inaugural ACC Tournament in 1954 and won the league's first title by defeating North Carolina, Duke and Wake Forest.

350 And Counting
The Wake Forest-NC State game will be the 350th game played in ACC Tournament history ... with a sellout of 23,745 assured, all-time tournament attendance will eclipse the 3.6 million mark (3,607,566).

RPI Ratings
In this morning's RPI report (through games of Friday), Wake Forest is ranked seventh, Duke 14th, Maryland 36th, North Carolina 48th and NC State 63rd.
