Duke's Seth Curry and Boston College's Olivier Hanlan earn weekly ACC basketball honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke’s Seth Curry has been selected ACC Player of the Week, while Boston College’s Olivier Hanlan been named the conference’s Rookie of the Week in the final balloting of the season.
Curry averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in wins over Virginia Tech and North Carolina. The Charlotte, N.C., senior shot 58 percent (14-of-24) from the field, including 7-of-15 (.467) from three-point range for the week.
Against Virginia Tech, Curry knocked down five three-point field goals and finished with 20 points and five rebounds. He set the tone early in Saturday’s win over North Carolina, knocking down his first seven shots and scoring 18 points in the opening half of play. Curry finished the game with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists in a 69-53 road win.
In earning the Rookie honor for the fourth time this season, Hanlan averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a pair of wins last week for Boston College. In the second half of a 68-61 win at Clemson Tuesday, Hanlan scored 21 of his 24 points in the final 20 minutes. He was 12-for-14 (.857) from the line while adding five rebounds and three assists.
In Saturday’s 74-72 win over Georgia Tech, the Aylmer, Quebec freshman had 14 points, five boards, two assists and two steals. He was 6-for-9 from the field. Hanlan ranks eighth in the ACC in scoring (14.6) and is fifth during conference play (15.7).
