2007 ACC Men's Basketball All-Defensive Team Announced

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Virginia Tech teammates Jamon Gordon and Zabian Dowdell were named to the Atlantic Coast Conference's all-defensive team for the second straight year on Monday.

The Hokies' duo, who ranked 1-2 in the league in steals, were joined on the defensive team by a pair of Maryland teammates, Ekene Ibekwe and D.J. Strawberry, and Duke's Josh McRoberts.

The team was selected by a vote of 106 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

Gordon led the league with 76 steals, Dowdell had 64 and Strawberry had 63.

Ibekwe and McRoberts were the ACC's top two shot-blockers, with Ibekwe leading the league with 81 blocks and McRoberts second with 77. McRoberts also had an ACC-best 180 defensive rebounds.
