PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas - Quinn Cook scored 11 of his 15 points in the final 7:46, including No. 5 Duke's last eight of the game, and the Blue Devils beat No. 2 Louisville 76-71 on Saturday night in the championship game of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
Neither team led by more than four points over the final 10 minutes until Cook's second free throw with 6.7 seconds left made it 76-71.
The sophomore point guard had six assists and just four turnovers against Louisville's pressure defense. He was 4 for 8 from the field and 6 of 6 from the line.
Mason Plumlee had 16 points for Duke (6-0).
Peyton Siva had 19 points for the Cardinals (5-1) and Russ Smith added 17.
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Durand Scott and Shane Larkin scored 15 points each to lead Miami to a 77-62 win over Detroit on Saturday.
Kenny Kadji finished with a double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds) for the Hurricanes (3-1). Trey McKinney Jones was Miami's fourth double-figure scorer with 13 points.
The Hurricanes outscored Detroit 6-0 in the first 4:13 of the second half for their first double-digit lead. Scott's driving jumper with 15:57 remaining ended the spurt and gave Miami a 51-41 advantage.
Nick Minnerath hit his fifth 3-pointer and cut Miami's lead to 44-37. Minnerath scored 22 points to lead the Titans (2-2).
Miami responded with a 14-5 spurt following Minnerath's 3-pointer. Larkin's driving layup with 9:00 remaining capped the run and increased the Hurricanes' lead to 58-42.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Freshman Charles Mitchell scored 13 points and fueled a second-half run that carried Maryland past Georgia Southern 70-53 Saturday night.
Mitchell, a 6-foot-8 forward, made 6 of 12 shots and collected 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. Logan Aronhalt scored 12 and Nick Faust added 11 for the Terrapins (4-1), who have won four straight at home following a narrow loss to Kentucky in the Barclays Center Classic.
Georgia Southern (2-3) led by eight points in the game's opening minutes and trailed only 29-26 at halftime before the Terrapins pulled away behind Mitchell, who scored six points in a 17-4 spree to begin the second half.
Aronhalt opened with a 3-pointer and Mitchell made Maryland's next three baskets - a follow of his own miss, a dunk and another follow. Alex Len then scored on off an alley-oop pass, Faust connected from beyond the arc and Len concluded the run with a three-point play to make it 46-30 with 14:42 remaining.
