Duke Rolls Past Radford 104-67 They matched a school record with 18 3-pointers in a 104-67 romp against Radford on Saturday behind a season-high 20 points from freshman Andre Dawkins. Nolan Smith added 20 points and Jon Scheyer had 18 for the Blue Devils (4-0), who overwhelmed Radford during a first half in which they shot 50 percent, matched the school record with 13 3s in a half and put this one away with a huge run. Cavaliers Lock Down Oral Roberts in Second Half, Win 76-55 On Tuesday in Cancun, Mexico, Virginia (3-1) plays Stanford. Oral Roberts (2-2) takes on Sam Houston State. The double-double was the second of the season for Scott and the 12th of his career. Florida State Dominates Mercer Florida State won its third consecutive games by at least 26 points to improve its record to 3-0. The Bears, playing during campus homecoming ceremonies, fell to 3-2. Florida State set the tone for the game early as they limited Mercer to one point for a span of more than 10:00 during the first half of the game. After spotting the Bears a 3-0 lead, the Seminoles scored 21 of the next 25 points to take a 21-7 lead with 7:21 left in the first half. The Seminoles led by as many as 22 points in the half as they took a 40-18 halftime lead. Wolfpack Holds Off Austin Peay, 66-59 The Governor's cut a 16-point Wolfpack halftime lead down to just four points with 1:06 left, but the Pack's Tracy Smith converted a three-point play with 35 seconds left to cushion the Pack's lead. The NC State offense did not get out to a strong start like yesterday, as the game was close until midway through the first half. With NC State leading 18-14, the Pack would go on a 10-1 run and increase a lead it would hold the rest of the game. BC Men's Basketball Defeats South Dakota State, 75-58 Junior Joe Trapani scored a game-high 21 points and classmate Biko Paris totaled 16 points to lead Boston College to a 75-58 win over South Dakota State in the Eagles' second game in the Paradise Jam. Juniors Corey Raji and Josh Southern each added 12 points for the Eagles. Sophomore Reggie Jackson posted eight points, six rebounds and five rebounds. BC (3-1) scored the game's first six points and extended its lead to 17-4 just more than six minutes into the contest. All five starters - including Jackson starting in place of Rakim Sanders - scored in this opening stretch. Trapani, who hit consecutive three-pointers, and Raji, who tallied the game's first four points, led the way.
