    Henderson Leads Duke To 83-58 Win Over Southern Illinois

    NEW YORK — Gerald Henderson scored all 20 of his points in the second half, helping No. 10 Duke find some offensive rhythm in an 83-58 victory over Southern Illinois on Thursday night in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic.

    Jon Scheyer and Kyle Singler each added 13 points for the Blue Devils (4-0), who advanced to play either No. 4 UCLA or Michigan on Friday night for the championship of the tournament benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

    FSU Holds off Stetson, 79-77

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Toney Douglas scored 20 of his game-high 26 points in the second half and Ryan Reid drew a charging call at the buzzer, preserving Florida State's 79-77 home-opening victory over Stetson on Thursday night.

    Douglas scored 14 of the Seminoles' (3-0) final 20 points, capped by a pair of free throws with 1:02 remaining for a 79-75 lead.

    Hokies down Fairfield, 74-57, in Puerto Rico

    SAN JUAN, P.R. – Virginia Tech used hot shooting and solid defense to defeat Fairfield, 74-57, in the first game of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip Off in San Juan, P.R., on Thursday afternoon.

    Senior A.D. Vassallo, a native of nearby Toa Baja, P.R., led all scorers with a season-high 24 points. Sophomore Jeff Allen added 18 points, eight rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots and sophomore Malcolm Delaney scored all 10 of his points in the second half.
