No. 2 North Carolina Defeats No. 7 Duke, 79-71 Hansbrough scored 17 points in his final home game to help the No. 2 Tar Heels beat No. 7 Duke 79-71 Sunday and win the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title. Lawson added 13 points and several key plays late for the Tar Heels (27-3, 13-3 ACC), who earned the top seed for next week's league tournament in Atlanta. North Carolina shot 53 percent and led most of the second half for its sixth win in seven meetings with Duke. Deacs Close Regular Season with 96-88 Win Over Clemson With the win, Wake Forest improves to 24-5 and 11-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Clemson falls to 23-7 and 9-7 in league play. The Deacs continued their dominance over the Tigers at the Joel Coliseum. Wake Forest has now won 17 straight games at home against Clemson and holds a 97-52 advantage in the all-time series. FSU Victorious Against Virginia Tech, 63-53 The fourth seeded Seminoles will play the winner of Thursday's game between Clemson and Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday at 2;30 p.m. at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Douglas, the top scorer in conference play at more than 23 points per game, scored a dozen points in just over four minutes after the Hokies pulled within 45-42. That gave the Seminoles a 59-49 lead, and they cruised from there.
