Feb. 9, 2013 CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - The Miami Hurricanes played so well Saturday they earned a standing ovation from LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. With the Heat stars watching from the front row, the eighth-ranked Hurricanes put on another show at home, making a school record-tying 15 3-pointers and extending their winning streak to 11 games by beating North Carolina 87-61. Sophomore Shane Larkin had 18 points and a career-high nine assists for the Atlantic Coast Conference leaders, who built margins of 9-0 and 44-27 en route to another rout. They improved to 11-0 at home, where each of the past four wins have been by at least 22 points. Such success is unprecedented for the Hurricanes (19-3, 10-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who set a school record for ACC victories in a season with eight games still to go. They are the last unbeaten team in league play among the major conferences. Deacons Blow By Seminoles 71-46 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Four Demon Deacons scored in double figures, and Wake Forest dominated Florida State inside to post a 71-46 win over the Seminoles on Saturday at Joel Coliseum. A balanced scoring attack led the Deacons (11-12, 4-7 ACC) to victory. Travis McKie scored 15 points to lead all players. He was joined in double figures by C.J. Harris (14), Codi Miller-McIntyre (14) and Chase Fischer (10). The Demon Deacons owned the paint, outrebounding the Seminoles 45-25 and outscoring the `Noles 32-16 inside on the offensive end. Wake Forest led for the entire game, and used 12-2 run in the first half and a 14-0 run in the second half to seal the victory. Holsey Lifts Georgia Tech Past Virginia Tech, 64-54 BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) - Kammeon Holsey scored all 13 points of his points in the first half to lift Georgia Tech to a 64-54 victory over Virginia Tech on Saturday. Marcus Georges-Hunt added 13 for the Yellow Jackets (13-9, 3-7 Atlantic Coast Conference), who won a road game for the first time this season and won in Blacksburg for the first time. In the first half, the Yellow Jackets opened a 22-point lead against the cold-shooting Hokies, who missed 12 of their first 13 shots and 20 of their first 23. Georgia Tech led 37-18 at halftime. Virginia Tech (11-12, 2-8), which lost for the sixth straight time, cut the lead to 60-52 on a runner by Erick Green with 31.6 seconds left, but the Hokies got no closer.
