Jack McClinton
First-team All-ACC selection Jack McClinton heads a strong returning cast for a Miami team that posted a 23-11 record last season and earned an NCAA berth for the first time since 2002. The Hurricanes return four starters and seven of their top nine from last season. 'Canes center Anthony King is the only Miami starter who is not slated to be back this season. Miami has boasted a first-, second- or third-team All-ACC player each of its first four seasons in the league. The Hurricanes' Frank Haith owns a 69-60 record in his four seasons as head coach. Haith's arrival at Miami prior to the 2004-05 season coincided with the Hurricanes entry into the ACC. The Hurricanes won eight of their final 12 games in 2007-08.
Jack McClinton averaged 17.7 points per game last season and also led Miami in assists with 2.6 per game. McClinton led the ACC in free-throw shooting by knocking down nearly 92 percent of his foul shots and was second in the league in 3-point field-goal percentage (.427).
James Dews' solid sophomore season included starts in 33 of Miami's 34 games. The junior scored at a 10.3 ppg clip, and his 28.5 minutes ranked second on the team. Dews proved almost as efficient as McClinton when it came to free-throw shooting, making good on .907 of his attempts.

Dwayne Collins, a 6-foot-8, 238-pound junior, averaged 8.6 and 6.5 rebounds while playing 20 minutes per game last season. Collins shot 55 percent from the floor. His career-high 26 points and seven rebounds keyed homecourt win over Duke on Feb. 20.
Brian Asbury has started 47 games over his last two seasons. The 6-foot-7 junior ranked third on the team in scoring last season with 8.8 points per game. He has scored in double-figures 15 times, including a 22-point performance in a win over Penn. Asbury shot .845 from the foul line.
Lance Hurdle averaged 8.0 points and his 2.4 assists ranked second on the team. Hurdle scored a season-high 20 points versus North Carolina. He is another steady foul shooter who made good on .865 of his attempts last season.
Jimmy Graham continued his role as a valuable sixth man and occasional starter. He enters his senior season shooting .515 from the floor for his career. Graham averaged 6.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 2007-08.
