ATLANTA - Ten student-athletes on Georgia Tech's baseball team spent Sunday evening as volunteers at the Festival of Trees.

The Festival of Trees, Atlanta's premier holiday event, benefits Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Visitors can stroll through 150,000 square feet of decorated trees, wreaths and decorator vignettes created by the city's top artists and designers. The Festival also features magnificent gingerbread houses, an assortment of specialty shops, a special venue of handmade dollhouses, and an array of children's activities. The main stage features continuous live entertainment and attracts people of all ages.

This extraordinary event has become a tradition of Atlanta's holiday season while raising much needed money for quality services and facilities for children at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

All of the trees were donated to the festival, and each tree was for sale. The Tech baseball players helped in wrapping up the trees and boxing the decorations around the trees that were going to be shipped to the people who purchased them. Some of these trees were sold for over $1,000.
