CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Less than a week after the most successful run in North Carolina baseball history came to an end, twenty-five members of Tar Heels' NCAA runner-up team have scattered across the country to various collegiate wooden bat summer leagues to begin prep for the 2007 season.

Nine Tar Heels will play in the Cape Cod League, including four with Harwich and three with Chatham. Right-hander Robert Woodard is in his third season with the Chatham A's and is slated to start Tuesday.

Freshman Tim Federowicz was also slated to play in Chatham but was named to the 22-man roster for the USA Baseball National Team Sunday.

Another nine Carolina players are in the Coastal Plain League, and the Tar Heels also have at least one player in the New York League, the Southern Collegiate League, the Great Lakes League and the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
