Clemson, SC - Khalil Greene, the recipient of the Smith Award and many other honors as college baseball's player of the year was presented a special resolution from the South Carolina General Assembly on Wednesday morning at the IPTAY office in Clemson. Representative Bud Webb and Senator Thomas Alexander made the trip to Clemson to present the resolution to the Tiger shortstop and most decorated player in Clemson history.

Head Coach Jack Leggett had kind words to say about his shortstop calling him the most dedicated player on his ball club and his 2002 season the best he has ever seen a player have from beginning to end.

Assistant Coach Tim Corbin, who recruited Greene, spoke of the shortstop's success and thanked the Clemson family for nine great years with the Tiger baseball program. Corbin accepted the head coach position at Vanderbilt on Tuesday.
