Former Wake Forest All-American closer Dave Bush picked up a save in his professional debut in Jamestown, N.Y., on Friday night. Bush is pitching for the Auburn Doubledays, single-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays in the New York-Penn League.

Bush entered the game in the eighth with a 5-2 lead. He struck out two batters in two innings, allowing an unearned run on two hits and a hit batsman.

Jamestown is the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

Bush, who signed last Sunday, was the Blue Jays' second round draft pick in the draft held earlier this month.
