RALEIGH, N.C. - Postseason honors continue to trickle in, and the NC State baseball team continues to garner its share of the glory following its magical 2003 season.

InsideCollegeBaseball.com has announced its 2003 All-America teams, and Wolfpack pitrchers Vern Sterry and Joey Devine both were named to the ICB second team. In addition, pitcher Michael Rogers was chosen as an honorable mention All-American.

The All-America mention is the second for Sterry, a junior righthander from Rowland Heights, Calif., who was named a first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball two weeks ago. Sterry went 11-0 with a 3.25 ERA this season. He is the first NC State pitcher ever to go undefeated in a season in which he won 10 or more games.

Devine, a freshman from Junction City, Kansas, and Rogers, a redshirt-freshman from Hamilton, N.J., were both named first-team Freshman All-Americans a week ago by Collegiate Baseball.

Devine went 6-3 with a 2.19 ERA and an ACC-leading 14 saves, which is a conference record for freshmen. Rogers went 12-3 with a 3.02 ERA. He is only the third NC State pitcher ever to win 12 games in a season.

Earlier, ICB.com named Wolfpack coach Elliott Avent its National Coach of the Year.
