Five ACC series are set this weekend as teams continue the stretch run to the ACC Championship, set for May 23-27 at Greensboro, N.C. ... Four series open Friday as Wake Forest visits Boston College, Clemson travels to Georgia Tech, Maryland is at Virginia Tech and Duke plays at NC State ... The Coastal Division series between Virginia and Miami gets under way with an RSN televised game on Saturday and concludes with the ESPNU Monday night game ... Florida State hosts Rhode Island in a three-game non-league series, while North Carolina breaks for final exams .... Georgia Tech senior first baseman Jake Davies was named the ACC Player of the Week after leading a series win at No. 6 UNC ... NC State freshman left-hander Carlos Rodon was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week after working eight scoreless innings in a shutout of Boston College ... Florida State is ranked No. 1 nationally by Baseball America, the NCBWA and in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches’ Poll.

19 - With 19 ACC wins in 21 games, top-ranked Florida State has tied the school record for the best start in conference play first set in 1999. That includes a 15-0 record against teams from the Coastal Division.
19,669 - Number of fans that viewed Georgia Tech’s 4-3 win over rival Georgia last Tuesday night at Atlanta’s Turner Field. The attendance figure was higher than that of seven Major League games played the same day.
PROBABLE STARTERS FOR ACC SERIES
CLEMSON AT GEORGIA TECH
Of note: Clemson and Georgia Tech have met 206 times on the diamond, with the Tigers holding a 103-100-3 lead in the series dating back to the 1902 season ... The teams have faced each other at least one time every year since 1974 ... Georgia Tech has won each of the last seven series against Clemson at Russ Chandler Stadium, as the Tigers’ last series win in Atlanta came in 1996.
WAKE FOREST AT BOSTON COLLEGE
Of note: Wake Forest and Boston College have split the all-time series, 9-9, dating back to the first meeting in 2006 ... Each team has protected its home field relatively well against the other, as both teams own 7-2 records at home ... Wake Forest swept last season’s three-game series at Winston-Salem, including a pair of one-run victories.
DUKE AT NC STATE
Of note: The Wolfpack holds a 144-118-1 series lead ... Duke won two of three last season at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, bouncing back to claim the last two games after NC State won the opener ... The Wolfpack swept all three games the last time the teams met in Raleigh in the final regular-season series of 2010 ... The wins solidified NC State’s spot in the 2010 ACC Championship.
MARYLAND AT VIRGINIA TECH
Of note: Maryland leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech, 28-22-1, though Tech has held the upper hand in recent years ... The Hokies swept the series last season in College Park and took two of three in Blacksburg in 2010 ... In addition to leading the conference in team ERA (2.73), Maryland has the best fielding percentage at .974.
VIRGINIA AT MIAMI
Of note: Miami holds a 19-15 lead in the all-time series with Virginia ... However, the Cavaliers have taken three of four from the Hurricanes each of the last two seasons ... Last year saw Virginia bounce back from losing the opening game of the teams’ ACC series with a pair of one-run victories at Charlottesville ... The Cavaliers then scored a 6-4 win in the ACC Championship at Durham, N.C.
