Game 3: #8 Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. #10 Maryland Terrapins

Statement by Wake Forest Head Coach Rick Rembielak: Well obviously I thought we swung very well. We stayed in the game, when we got behind, we bounced back. We kept swinging the bats and we did not give up. From the starting pitchers stand point, we didn't help Kip (Byrum) with two errors in that one inning (second inning), when they scored seven runs, we could not keep him in there. So we ended up going with Josh (Ellis), who is one of our weekend starters and had to finish the whole game for us. The other thing that was nice, is that we didn't have to use any other pitchers past Josh (Ellis).

Statement by Maryland Head Coach Terry Rupp: There was a whole lot of hitting going on tonight. They swung the bats well, we have to give them a lot of credit. We couldn't get them out ... they basically outlasted us. And that's all there is to it.
