LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Simon Young and Rhett Parrott combined on a seven-hitter while Stephen Donaghey paced a 14-hit attack by going 3-for-4 with three RBI as No. 2-ranked Georgia Tech rolled past Jacksonville, 14-1, Sunday night in the ACC/Disney Baseball Blast.

Tech improved to 1-2 for the season and lifted the Atlantic Coast Conference to a 2-7 record in the weekend event. Virginia defeated Oklahoma Saturday, 12-4, to finish 1-2, while Maryland went winless after a 15-0 loss to 12th-ranked Auburn. The Dolphins fell to 2-1 after a pair of easy wins over the Cavaliers and Terrapins earlier in the weekend.

Young (1-0), a junior making only the second start of his career, pitched a career-high seven innings, blanking the Dolphins for the first six. He scattered five hits, walked two and struck out three for his fourth career victory. Freshman Rhett Parrott finished off Jacksonville with two shutout innings.

Tech got all the runs it would need in the first inning, scoring three times on five singles, including a two-run hit by Jason Basil, and an RBI ground out by Eric McQueen. Tech put the game away with a six-run outburst in the seventh, keyed by Donaghey's two-run single and RBI hits from Bryan Prince and Mark Teixeira. The Jackets erupted for four more in the eighth with the aid of Donaghey's sacrifice fly and RBI singles from Jahmal Overton and Steve Economos.

Twelve different players scored for Tech, and nine players drove in at least one run. Prince drove in a pair of runs for Tech, and Teixeira contributed three hits and an RBI.

Palmer Ebanks (0-1) took the loss on the mound for Jacksonville, allowing four runs on six hits in six innings. He fanned five with no walks.

Tech is off until Friday, when it opens a three-game series at No. 16 UCLA at 6 p.m. ET.
