Shalane Flanagan becomes first Tar Heel to win National Championship at Carolina

Chapel Hill, N.C. -Junior Shalane Flanagan (Marblehead, Mass.) won her first national title this afternoon at the NCAA Championship, in Terre Haute, Ind. Flanagan is the first ACC and UNC cross country runner to win a national championship since the NCAA began endorsing the sport.
