GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State’s Karen Harvey was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year after leading the Seminoles to their third consecutive ACC title and NC State’s Rollie Geiger, who directed the Wolfpack to its 11th ACC title in the last 15 years and 15th overall, was selected the ACC Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.

In earning the award for the third-straight year, Harvey directed the Seminoles to this year’s ACC women’s cross country title as they totaled 37 points and out-distanced runner-up Duke by 34 points. All five Florida State runners placed in the top 15, including Susan Kuijken, the league’s individual champion for the third year in a row. Harvey’s Seminoles are ranked ninth in the latest USTFCCA poll.

In earning the award for the 12th time in his career, Geiger was an over-whelming choice for the award after leading NC State to its first ACC men’s title since 2006 and its 15th overall, including 14 under Geiger. The Wolfpack placed five runners in the top 25 and out-distanced second-place Virginia by 15 points in the championship meet. NC State is currently ranked 16th in this week’s USTFCCA poll.
