Wake Forest Cross Country coach Annie Schweitzer Bennett was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, after her Demon Deacons were named ACC Cross Country Co-Champions. In the 48th annual ACC Men's Cross Country Championship, Geiger led the Wolfpack to their second-consecutive ACC Title and seventh in eight years with a low-score of 17 points. NC State had five of the race's top six finishers with David Patterson, Devin Swann, Ricky Brookshire, David Christian and Kurtis Marlowe being named to the All-ACC team. This is Geiger's ninth ACC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year honor. History was made at the 25th annual ACC Women's Cross Country Championship, as two teams shared the title for the first time in league history. Wake Forest and NC State tied with 61 points apiece. Bennett led Wake Forest to its first Championship title in the program's 25-year history. Two of Bennett's runners were named to the All-Conference team in Annie Bersagel and Risa Rutland, who placed fourth and eighth, respectively. This was Bennett's first ACC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year honor.
