UNC's Shalane Flanagan, Duke's Terry Brennan ACC Performers Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- North Carolina freshman Shalane Flanagan and Duke senior Terry Brennan have earned ACC Cross Country Performers of the Week after posting strong finishes in the Iowa State Memorial Cross Country Classic Pre-National Invitational on Saturday, October 14.
In a field of more than 300 runners, Flanagan placed third overall in the women's race, running the 6K course in a time of 20:58.6. The field included sixteen teams ranked in the top 25. Flanagan, a freshman from Marblehead, Mass., also won ACC Performer of the Week honors on September 11 and October 2.
Duke's Brennan, a senior from Lake Forest, Ill., finished 28th overall out of 360 runners in the men's 10K race, with a time of 31:34.7. In a field that included 14 ranked teams, Brennan led the Blue Devils to a seventh-place finish out of 53 participating teams.
