GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College's Patrick Mellea and Miami's Delia Phlatts have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Performers of the Week following individual performances this past weekend.

In earning the award for the second time this season, Mellea led the Eagles to a fourth-place team finish among 43 teams in this past Saturday's New England Championships in Boston, Mass. The North Arlington, N.J., senior captured individual honors finishing the 8K race in 24:45, edging teammate Tim Ritchie by eight seconds.

With her first place finish, Phlatts led four teammates in the top 20 as the Hurricanes captured the team title in this past weekend's flrunners.com Invitational in Titusville, Fla. The Silver Spring, Md., senior finished the 5K race with a time of 18:47 and shaved 31 seconds off her previous best 5K performance of the 2007 season.
