Virginia fourth-year captain Bobby Thiele (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville) was named the ACC Runner of the Week for his win last week at the George Washington University Invitational. Thiele, a 1999 All-American and All-ACC honoree, won by a 14-second margin over Brian Godsey of Miami. The Cavaliers took second place in the event with 46 points, paced by Thiele's top placing.

The Cavaliers return to action this weekend, October 7, at the Radford XC Highlander Invitational.
