COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior Faisal Hasan (Columbia, Md.), whose first place finish in the Maryland Invitational on Saturday helped propel the Terps to victory, has been named the ACC cross country performer of the week. Hasan's time of 26:12.91 in the 8,000 meters was good for the top spot out of 28 competitors.

Hasan's performance was a continuation of the strong running that has led to his being Maryland's top finisher in two out of three meets this season. In the George Mason Invitational on Sept. 19, he finished seventh overall with a time of 25:48.5.
