CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina's women's cross country team is ranked no. 17 in the latest FinishLynx Women's Cross Country Rankings.

The Tar Heels have won their first two meets, the UNC Charlotte Relays and the Winthrop Invitational, and are led by seniors Heather Tanner, Julie Smith and Trish Nervo.

Carolina's next meet will be this Friday at the Auburn Invitational in Auburn, Ala. The meet will include ACC rivals Georgia Tech and Florida State.
