GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia Tech's Billy Berlin and Florida State's Pilar McShine have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Performers of the Week following outstanding individual performances this past weekend.

Senior Billy Berlin became the third different Hokie to lead the men's team this season, finishing first at Friday's Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational in Newton, N.C,. The Midlothian, Va., native finished the 8K race with a time of 26:46.74 to lead seven Virginia Tech runners among the top eight finishers.

McShine turned in a career-best time of 18:02.53 as the Seminole freshman won the first race of her career at the Florida State Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla. The Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, native led five Florida State runners in the top 10 as she shaved one minute and 14 seconds off of her previous 5K race of the season.
