GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia’s Emil Heine king was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week and Wake Forest’s Anna Nosenko earned the league’s Women's Performer of the Week honors.

Heineking led the Cavaliers to the team championship of the Lou Onesty Invitational, capturing the individual title by almost a full minute (55:30). In becoming the third-consecutive Cavalier, and fifth all-time, to win the invitational title, the Chardon, Ohio, junior finished the 8K course in 24:04.8 and eclipsed the previous meet record of 24:24.5 set by Liberty’s Josh McDougal in 2006.

NosenkoNosenko was one of five ACC women to earn individual honors this past weekend. Nosenko finished a 4.6K course in 16:09.4, more than 15 seconds ahead of the second-place runner leading the Demon Deacons to second place finish at Friday’s Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. The Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, native beat a field of 93 runners in leading the Deacons to a second-place team finish.
