GREENSBORO, NC - Clemson runners Erika van Reenen and David Adams were named this week's ACC Cross Country Performers of the Week.

Van Reenen, a senior from Norcross, GA, led the Tigers to a second-place finish at the Papa's Pizza Invitational at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, on Saturday, Sept. 2. Van Reenen finished second overall with a 5K time of 18:34.

Adams, a freshman from Bluffton, SC, finished 33 seconds ahead of the next Division I runner to collect the individual championship in the Papa's Pizza Invitational. Adams ran a 25:58 8K in his first collegiate race to lead the Tigers to a third-place finish.

Clemson will participate in the Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, SC, on Sept. 16.
