The University of Miami men's cross country team earned All-Academic distinction for the second straight season.

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) - For the second consecutive year, and the third time in the last four seasons, the University of Miami men's cross country team has earned All-Academic Distinction by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association.

The 2005 men's squad of junior Thomas Berry (Stanford, Conn.), senior Alex Brutvan (Boca Raton, Fla.), freshman Andrew Carnes (Canton, Ohio), junior Zach Castiglione (Brighton, Mich.), junior Seth Kampf (Ellicott City, Md.), freshman Eric Miller (Katy, Texas), senior James Mullaly (Ellicott City, Md.), junior Jonathan Scheiner (Katy, Texas) and freshman Ryan Woodlee (Silver Spring, Md.) recorded a team GPA of 3.52 to rank in a tie for third in the nation.

The Hurricanes ranked second in the nation in 2004 with a team GPA of 3.50. Miami is the only team in the nation to record a team GPA of 3.50 or higher in each of the last two seasons.

Miami also earned All-Academic distinction in 2002.
