THE BRONX, N.Y. - Several members of the 2004 Duke cross country team completed their season Saturday at the 96th Annual ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships at Van Cortland Park. Leading the way for the men was Michael Hatch, who finished third with a time of 25:01 in the five-mile run. With his Top 15 finish, Hatch earned All-East accolades in his last race as a Blue Devil.

The men's squad finished 14th overall with 365 points in the field of 20 highly-competitive teams. Also competing for Duke was: Ian Cronin (71st, 26:13), Alex Reinhart (85th, 26:23), Marco Salmen (109th, 26:38) and Billy Kennedy (128th, 26:50).

The Blue Devil women ran four runners, placing three in the Top 15 to receive All-East nods. Liz Wort came in fourth overall in 17:57, while Elle Pishny finished 11th (18:16) and Paris Edwards followed in 12th in 18:17. Lindsay Van Alstine crossed the line in 16th-place, just missing the cut-off for All-East with her 18:20 finish.

Duke did not receive a team score on the women's side, as a school must run five runners to qualify.

The women's A Team, as well as Nick Schneider, will compete Monday at the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.
