Virginia's Sarah Folse (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor)finished 34th in today's Pre-Nationals Meet held at Ames, Iowa, leading the Hoos to a 17th place finish among 56 teams today. The Cavaliers were the top team in the Southeast Region to finish, including beasting #23 Duke, North Carolina, and Georgia Tech. Virginia also defeated #20 Northern Arizona and #22 Oregon in the meet.

Jessica Thomas (Pt. Pleasant, N.J. /Pt. Pleasant Borough)finished second for the Cavaliers, who had all five scorers in by place 168.
