Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) - University of Miami sophomores Dominique Darden (Harrisburg, Pa.) and Charlette Greggs (Miami Northwestern) have been selected to represent the United States at the 2004 NACAC-TELUS Track and Field Championships, July 30-August 1, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.

The NACAC Track and Field Championships consist of athletes ages 20-23 from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Darden will compete in the 400-meter hurdles while Greggs will represent the United States in the 400-meters as well as the 4x400-meter relay.

Darden, who had not competed in the 400-meter hurdles prior to this season, reached the semifinals of the 400-hurdles at the United States Track and Field Olympic Trials. She captured BIG EAST Championships in the indoor 60-meter hurdles and outdoor 400-meter hurdles and earned All-America honors during the outdoor season in both the 400-meter hurdles and 4x100-meter relay.

Greggs, a five-time All-American, advanced to the semifinals of the 400-meters at this summer's US Olympic Trials. This season she won the BIG EAST Indoor 400-meter title and earned All-America honors in the 4x400-meter relay during the outdoor season.

Last season Greggs was selected for the 4x400-meter relay pool that represented the United States at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
