GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference released the 2007 All-ACC Academic Men's Track & Field team announced Friday by Commissioner John D. Swofford. All 12 league schools are represented on the honors team.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. This year's team is comprised of three ACC champions, two All-Americans and 10 All-Conference performers.

National Champion Florida State led all league schools with seven honorees on the men's academic squad. The Seminoles, who captured their third-straight ACC outdoor track and field title this past April, are led by All-American Charles Clark and All-ACC performers Thomas Lancashire and Javier Garcia-Tunion. Clark was a member of Florida State's national champion 400 meter relay team and had the league's second fastest time in the 200 meters (20.38). Lancashire captured the ACC's 1,500 meter title, while Garcia-Tunion placed third in the ACC Championships in the 110 meter hurdles.

In addition, Virginia's Jan Forester earned All-America recognition after finishing sixth in the NCAA Championships in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Lancashire, Forester, and North Carolina's Mateo Sossah (decathlon) were ACC Champions.
