Virginia track and field assistant coach Carrie Lane has been named one of the assistant coaches for the US Junior National Track and Field Team by USA Track and Field. Lane, who just completed her second year at the University of Virginia, has coached three All-Americans in her stint in Charlottesville, including Billie-Jo Grant, who earned her second All-American honor in 2006 with a sixth-place finish in the discus at the NCAA Track and Field Championships. The USA National Team will conduct training camp from August 5-9 in Eugene, Oregon before heading to Beijing, China for the World Junior meet.
