ACC Track & Field Teams Set For NCAA ChampionshipsCompetition gets underway Wednesday in Iowa.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Atlantic Coast Conference schools combined to qualify 103 entries – 53 men and 50 women – for the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The four-day event kicks off Wednesday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
Four ACC squads are ranked heading to Des Moines, including three in the top 10. The Florida State men, who jumped two spots to No. 5, have 13 entries. They are followed closely behind by Virginia Tech which qualified 14 to improve from No. 16 to No. 8. Clemson enters as the highest ranked women’s team at No. 5 with 13 qualifications, including both relays. The 17th-ranked Seminole women have nine student-athletes competing in Iowa.
The entire event will be available to watch. On Wednesday, a stream will be available on NCAA.com, and ESPN3 will carry the action Thursday through Saturday. In addition, ESPNU will broadcast live on Saturday at 12 p.m.
