GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina's Donte Nall and Florida State's Gonzalo Barroilhet have been selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Co-Performers of the Week, while Virginia's Billie-Jo Grant and Miami's Ti'erra Brown have been honored on the women's side.

Nall, a sophomore high jumper for the Tar Heels, recorded a jump of 7'2.50" at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C., this past weekend. He is currently the only league athlete to have bested the seven foot mark during the 2008 outdoor season, and has the nation's No. 2 mark of the year. Nall, a native of Douglasville, Ga., is a regional qualifier for next month's NCAA East Regional meet. Sharing ACC weekly honors on the men's side is Florida State's Barroilhet, the 2007-08 ACC Indoor Field Performer and Freshman of the Year. Barroilhet took second-place at the FSU Relays this past weekend with a 17'6.50" mark in the pole vault. With the performance, the Santiago, Chile, freshman improved his previous best by more than four inches and placed himself among the nation's top two in the event in 2008. Barroilhet is also a qualifier for the 2008 NCAA East Regional.

Virginia's Grant, a senior from Arroyo Grande, Calif., took first-place in the discus with a throw of 183'11" at the Raleigh Relays last weekend. That mark, which qualifies her for the NCAA Regional meet, is currently the top throw in the ACC by nearly 11 feet and is the top throw in the nation by almost five feet. Grant also took third-place and achieved a regional qualifying mark in the shot put. The Hurricanes' Brown took top honors in the 400-meter hurdles at the Hurricane Challenge this weekend with a time of 58.08. Her time is the best in the nation in 2008 by more than three-tenths of a second. Brown, a freshman native of Hampton, Va., also competed in the 100-meter hurdles and the 4X400-meter relay over the weekend, qualifying for the NCAA Regional in each event.

All four teams will continue competition in the coming weeks before traveling to Atlanta, Ga., for the 2008 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on April 17-19. The 2008 NCAA East Regional meet will take place in Tallahassee, Fla., on May 30-31.
