ACC Student-Athletes Set For NCAA Indoor Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – A total of 56 ACC student-athletes -- 29 men and 27 women -- have qualified for the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, set for Friday at Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Included are nine members from ACC men’s team champion Virginia Tech and eight from ACC women’s champion Clemson. Three ACC competitors -- Florida State’s Marvin Bracy (6.54 in the men’s 60 meters), Virginia Tech’s Alexander Ziegler (23.69 men’s weight throw) and Clemson’s Brittany Rollins (7.78 in the women’s 60 meter hurdles) – will enter the meet with the nation’s top time or distance in their respective events. The ACC will be seeking its first men’s indoor team title. Clemson placed second in 1992 and 1993, and Florida State finished second in 2008. Florida State claimed the ACC women’s two NCAA indoor titles in 1995 and 1996. Listed below are the 2013 ACC’s qualifiers in each event.
