Virginia Tech's Keith Ricks and Queen Harrison Earn ACC Indoor Track and Field Weekly Award.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Virginia Tech sophomore Keith Ricks and senior were selected as this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Men’s and Women’s Performer of the Week, announced today, for the period ending January 24. Ricks and Harrison each set school records at the two-day Hokie Invitational (Jan. 22-23), an unscored meet. Ricks claimed a victory and broke a school record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.65, provisionally qualifying him for the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship. His time was .13 seconds better than the previous mark, formerly held by Andre Davis (2000). Additionally, the Suffolk, Va., native raced to a third-place finish in the 20-meter dash in 21.49. Ricks’ times rank first and second, respectively, among the ACC performance lists this season.
