Raleigh, N.C. - Florida State won its second consecutive Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field title, while North Carolina claimed its 13th women's crown at the 2003 ACC Championship held at NC State University in Raleigh, N.C.
Four ACC Championship records fell at this year's event, including North Carolina's Shalane Flanagan shattering the existing ACC Championship record in the 5,000 meter run with her 15:47.75 first-place performance. Flanagan also set a new meet record in the 1,500 meter run with her 4:13.05 finish. North Carolina's Laura Gerraughty recorded a 58'6" throw in the shot put, setting the new ACC Championship record by nearly six feet, while Clemson's Gisele Oliver set a new ACC Championship Meet record with her 43'10" jump in the triple jump event.
